Te Whakaraupō, A Place We Call Home.

Inspired by their experiences living in Te Whakaraupō Lyttelton Harbour, mother and daughter, Angela Boer and Paula Arbouw make work across a range of mediums that reflect natural forms, patterns, textures, movements, colours, lights, and moods found in the harbour. This exhibition presents their combined work and their connection to Te Whakaraupō.

Paula Arbouw has been creating art for over 20 years. She completed a silversmithing apprenticeship and studied design. Her paintings, in oil and watercolour, are inspired by New Zealand's landscapes, capturing different seasons, moods, and lighting. Her interest in ceramic jewellery began from a personal liking for earrings and a pair she acquired while travelling. She and Angela spent almost two years developing their ceramic jewellery, leading to the creation of Kiln Jewellery.
